It refers to the methodology and attitudes that leaves behind the techniques.

NLP was initially developed by John Grinder and Richard Bandler in 1975, who began duplicating and modeling the “magical results” of some top therapists and communicators.

Curiosity and experimentation represents the attitude. And modeling is the word for methodology. Modeling is the process of duplicating behavior of you model. That is the excellent behavior according to you. It can be done by studying the person’s head. That may include language, filters, programs, etc. of the model.

Neuro linguistic programming is at a high demand in the business house to improve the management status .to promote sales and to improve the overall performance. NLP is the set of tools for the personal development. It boosts the learning style in students of different levels.

The techniques that undergoes in the process of NLP helps to understand the persons and ourselves better. The techniques in NLP help to achieve the following;
Create ideal relationships
It helps in making ideal relations with and among people

Attract the right person for you
NLP really boosts you with that confidence that you find and make the right person to get attracted by you.

Advance your career & make more money
NLP helps in learning style and improve your all over personality. Which itself helps you to achieve your carrier and may earn more money

Increase motivation and energy
NLP increases the motivation and energy in your body and inner stimuli. It makes you to take thing in a motivational manner rather than loosing hope on failures.

Techniques
Not all, some of the NLP techniques are:-
Rapport

The technique involves pacing, matching & leading for establishing rapport with people. It is beneficial in maintaining and building rapport such as: pacing non-verbal behavior and matching body rhythms and speech of others.

Anchoring

It includes an anchor which associates the particular response or state. An anchor is most often a voice tone or touch, gesture but could be any unique auditory or visual activity. Anchor makes the persons to present themselves in latest situations on new conditions.

Swish

It is a technique to reduce the unwanted habits. It involves avoiding the unwanted behavior. The process involves visualizing the ‘cue image’ or trigger that usually leads to the unnecessary behavior outline, such as a smoker’s hand with a cigarette moving in the direction of the face. Or the similar can be done for terrible liquor habits.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is defined as the study of the structure of subjective experience and what can be calculated from that and is predicated upon the belief that all behavior has structure. NLP premise is that the words we use reflect an inner, subconscious perception of our problems. If these words are inaccurate and still we are using them continuously then some underlying problems may occur. Our attitudes are self-fulfilling prophecy.

Neuro refers to the brain and neural network that feeds into the brain. Neurons or nerve cells are the working units used by the nervous. System to send, receives, and store signals that add up to information.

Linguistics refers to the content, both verbal and non-verbal.
Programming is the way the content or signal is manipulated to convert it into useful information.
So in this way it becomes neuro linguistics programming as a whole.

We react in a manner as our feelings and experiences affect the external stimuli. For an example, I m scared of dogs, as I had a dog bite in my childhood. But other person likes the dog very much, they live with them. For them it is a pet for me it is a wild animal. So people react differently as their feelings react to external stimuli. So the signals that are transmitted by the brain were different because of the perception of two different people.

How does Neuro Linguistic Programming works

NLP uses the attitude and self image towards the illness to heal it up. We never stop praying to god for our welfare. Because hope is the thing we have and no one can snatch it from us. When people loose hope their inner ability and fighting power goes on decreasing. For example people suffering from diseases like cancer or aids looses their hope of living. They got shattered. If made them aware about there internal abilities and capabilities, then they would start seeing thing in a new manner. NLP helps to do so. It heals up the person internally.

Assumptions that works
NLP makes assumptions or presumptions that are the beliefs a person will find useful in effecting changes to them and to the world.
Some of them are:-
•	You cannot fail to communicate.
•	Having choice is better than having no choice at all
•	If you aren’t getting the response you want, try something different.
•	Communication is more than what you are saying.
•	Every behavior is useful in some context
•	There is no such thing as failure. There is only feedback
•	If someone can do something, anyone can learn it.
